Thank you Canadian FSS & 127.6

Having just returned from helping with a VFR ferry flight taking a Maule from Anchorage thru' Yukon and BC to California, we were fortunate enough to experience the Canadian FSS and the folks who keep us updated on 127.6 along that route. We were both really impressed with the level of info given to us and the support we received both on the radio, by phone and in person. As two pilots with not a huge knowledge of flying in those areas under those sort of conditions, it was nice to know we had such good back up. If anyone knows any of the guys on that route, could you please pass on our thanks for a great support network from N81CJ.

Sadly you may get to thank them soon with CASH ! US aircraft passing through Candian airspace can get billed for FSS services, based on a completely arbitrary formula of which airfields you used, and who you talked to.
