Gabriele,

Canada's a great place to live, but we've got bucket loads of pilots out of work already... You never know, you could get lucky, but you'd be competing with a HUGE pool of pilots looking for work. Chances are the job you'd get would be one not too many others want, and then I doubt it would meet your hopes....

Check www.avcanada.ca for a sample of what's here.

Good luck.

3holeover is 100%right. What is going to work against you is your total time. But you never know! Be prepared to work for peanuts. It's the evil cycle of the large general aviation sector in Canada. Operators pay lousy 'cause they don't expect anyone to stick around. Pilots don't stick around 'cause.............you guessed it!

Good luck!

First Air in Yellowknife NWT is the only company in Canada operating the ATR 42. You can always apply there, although I don't believe they are currently hiring, companies are always keen to hire people that come with a type rating.
