Question Vancouver island / Victoria

Has anyone heard of a Citation X operating out of Victoria? Or a charter operator using other Cessna jets there?

Thanks!

I looked that registration up on TC's website, and it's registered to Execaire.

Have they opened a base at YYJ?

Never heard of Execaire but I see that jet going into and out of YYJ a lot more than I seem to notice it going into YVR.

FYI, Execaire is part of the IMP group, which include Innotech Aviation, Air 500, and CANJET.

They are big and well run; HQ in Halifax and bases throughout Canada.

Execaire operated at one time a Citation X for a BC based Cell phone company. It is no longer operated under Execaire OC.

B.C. Tel/Telus had 2 citation 10's that were bought by them through Execaire - 1 may have been leased, but they were all telus pilots and mechanics. They got rid of the 10's and only have the 2 excels and the turbo beavers left now.

If Telus got rid of the 10's, why is one still in the Transport Canada database?

Did you really expect TC to update their database... I have seen over a year go by between updates.

The Citation X operating out of YYJ is for a very wealthy business man who likes to keep things very discreet. I talked to one of the pilots and he had to sign a confidentiality waiver stating that anything he saw or heard on board stayed on board. Standard for high end corporate charter I think.
