Kenora Airlines cicra 1950s
I am trying to find any information about Kenora Airlines which was based in Ontario. As far as I know it flew a fleet of twin otters around the 1950s. Does anyone know what ever came of this airline and its history. My Father is trying to remember his old flying days. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Well the Twin Otter, DHC6 didn't come on the scene until the mid 60's. Do you mean single Otter's, DHC3 perhaps? There is a flight service in Kenora that has been around for decades. The present incarnation is an amalgamation of some earlier operators. You can find them at http://www.kenoraair.ca/kair.htm.

Try this outfit:http://www.rustymyers.com/
They are located at Fort Frances, Ontario and operate a fleet of float planes. They've been around for a while and may be able to give you some info as the aviation community in NW Ontario is closely knit.
Cheers.
