Hi OZ, you're right a lot of departments do shut down but I'm hoping with schools scheduled for January and February they'll have someone in there working hard at it. I've sent off the security check and have my medical tomorrow.

Hopefully it will all get through for the end of next week. :ok:

Jetstar have just asked for Expressions of Interest for PER and CNS cabin crew bases. CNS starts on 27 March 05 with one 320 being based there. Trips are either 4 sectors in the AM (CNS-BNE-HTI-BNE-CNS) or an arvo SYD return. And some QFLink flying if we get the contract.

PER base is being brought forward if JQ gets the QFLink gig. If this happens it will begin in March with 2 x 717s (4 day trips apparently??) and grow from there with both the QFLink fleet, then the JQ Airbus' later on.

I have put in for PER just for kicks. It would be fun to operate on both JQ and QFLink. Time will tell.

If NJS gets the contract it's a good thing. This time of year isn't the time to be dealing with possible uncertainties in your employment. I just wish they would tell us all!

The EOI's are for current crew only. Don't know if they've expanded the base options in StaffCV though (worth a look anyway).

Mr Seatback, had a look earlier today - they haven't. I think it'd be a good idea for them to though, because there may be a few of us who would love to relocate but for some reason or other just can't right now. Perth base would be perfect for me.... I'd be totally willing to relocate after 6 months or a year - I just need a job first so I can 'get on my feet', so to speak.... =)

When will we hear about the 717 contract, I seem to have missed it if a date was mentioned previously..... likely after New Year, I know.....

I've been told that the morning tea I'm to attend won't be scheduled for at least 1-2 weeks. So obviously I won't be making the Jan. 10th school in SYD.

Can anyone from J* confirm for me that there is a school scheduled for February? I hear it is supposed to be in BNE. I know it's a rumour but was hoping someone might have more reliable info.:ok:
