Cool Easyjet to set up a Cabin Crew base in Spain?

Hi Folks,
I have heard through the grapevine that Easyjet will set up a few cabin crew bases in Spain (BCN, AGP, ALC). These bases would open next Summer.
Anyone with more information on this subject?

I think it would be very unlikely.

All the flights from Spain go to a UK crew base, so the crew from the UK bases fly those routes.

The only exception is BCN where they also fly to GVA, which also has a crew base.

Whenever we have started new routes starting in a different country, the UK bases have crewed those flights. Only after the routes have become established has easyJet set up a crew base. For example, the CDG-NCE flights were covered by London based crews.

Therefore I think it would be very unlikely that easyJet would set up a Spanish base.

All our efforts at the minute seem to be going into expanding in France, especially since all the ex-Buzz routes have been cut.
