This is a classic pax saying. Whats the best response?
I like to say "No its not, but the money sure makes up for it!

or when thy say "Youre just a glorified waitress really" I like to say "Well theres no waitress I know that gets to see the world and get paid while they are away for three weeks!!!"

When people say "Oh, it's not as glam as everyone thinks, is it?", I usually say (in a very friendly manner, of course) "No, I suppose not - what do YOU do for a living?" 99.9% of the time it's something VERY un-glam, and they kind of stop and think about it.
