Yeah, the US carriers have terrible uniforms, but the EK male uniform circa 1987 I used to think was great but that red tie and the chaffeur hat!
QRs first uniform was so nice that when it went to the laundry it had crawled up yer leg by six inches and the gals had that long tight blue skirt thing....yuk...
Air2000 original uniform.....ouch!

Air2000 new uniforms
Well well well! I knew someone would mention our new pink uniforms... can't really walk around discretely in that!!
Candy floss... Pink Panthers.... the nicknames' battle just started!
A couple of points though: the guys do NOT have to wear a tie and girls have NO HAT. (Just thinking abt Monarch and giggling.....)
Personally i find it comfy and practical. Well done First Choice!

I feel sorry for people who have to wear a horrible uniform. It doesn't make you feel good when you do your job. I feel very sorry for the Air2000 crew with their new uniform. At lease the girls don't look too bad when the walk around when the have their full suits on until they take off their jackets - That blouse! what was the person on when they designed that blouse - Acid?
As the for poor guys pink ! Sorry FLOATY I'd say come back the tie(and hats) all is forgiven!

For the knockers of the Qantas uniform you'll be knocked off your feet when you see in August this year our new "morrisey" uniforms get paraded down the aisles !! I actually don't think the current ones are to bad - except for the huge mens business shirts !
My personal favourites are-
- Ansett Australia - International ( Felt Hat included ) - Nothing will EVER EVER compare - isn't that right Mr Seatback ?
- Martinair
- Virgin Blue
- Transavia
- Korean Air
- "New" British Airways

Couldn't agree more, the Ansett Australia uniform looked great and the International girls with their hats, difficult act to beat.
The current QF uniform still looks respectable and classic, just lose the gold buttons, change the red tie/kerchief and cut down the jacket too a single breast and it'd be styling also. Oh, and issue the girls with navy felt hats! Hmmmm!

Has anyone seen the AUSTRALIAN AIRLINES uniform?? Now that is bad, and impractical. You sweat so much cause it's not natuural fibre, and because it's OCHRE (we say orange), you end up with very bad sweat stains. Please change them!!!

I dont know about the ugliest uniform, but I remember trying to run a seminar at the Marriott hotel at Orlando airport with Virgin Atlantic girls in uniform wandering around outside. I had to resort to throwing things at the male attendees to keep their attention. Afterwards they said they were amazed to see an aircrew openly being feminine and wearing taylored and flattering uniforms !

I would say most of the charter airlines old uniforms are not that great! And Easyjet's! And a few of the USA's airline's uniforms. And Air NZ-the hat is horrible!

The new Qantas uniform should look quite 'now' when it gets released - the current one has had it's day...
The only problem I can think of with the new uniform (aside from the problems we know about already, eh CB?) is the SLIM fit...some of those boys and girls are VERY BIG and Morrissey's idea of fashion isn't exactly flattering!
Morrissey has never been known to cater to larger size individuals, and this uniform proves it!
But AN Intl crew were always my favourite...those hats they wore are sadly missed (even though I do have my own personal hat to wear around at home to remind me of a once great carrier...
)
Makes me wonder why Morrissey didn't think of hats! Everyone I know loved the AN crew wearing them (cause they were the akubra style hats)...given that QF is the flag carrier, one wonders why QF didn't take up the idea!

Qantas uniform

I was reading this post yesterday and the other post about the best uniforms and I personally agreed that the Qantas uniform is a bit of a hit and miss at times. Especially a miss last December when I was hanging around Melb airport - definately thought that it wasn't the most flattering of uniforms.
BUT, as of this morning, I have to give the Qantas uniform credit. This morning a Qantas flight attendant who was immaculately groomed was coming down the escalators of where I work and she looked very professional. Very chic! As I said it's a bit of a hit and miss..... sometimes looks great and sometimes you wonder.
