Air Scotland at GLA / EDI / ABZ
Anyone out there working with Air Scotland out of GLA? Since it's my home town (Glasgow), certainly hope that the company succeeds. We've had several failed attempts in the past (Euroscot, Chieftain, Highland Express, etc, etc) - what's the new operation currently like and how are loads to Europe?
Also, would be interested to know if the service is Charter type, or sched.
Thanks,
Jim

No Future at Air Scotland
Jim
It would appear that as expected things have gone wrong for Air-Scotland. They a/c have been impounded by BAA at Glasgow and Edinburgh due to Electra Airlines (operators of Air-Scotland) not paying landing and parking fees. Currently flights are being opperated by Air Holland. go to airliners.net and search for Air-Scotland for more information.
It is a shame but it was to be expected.
Good luck to all at Air Scotland that managed to get a job with them.

Air Scotland are Dutch
It would appear that Air Scotland are going to be using Air Holland B757's for the foreseable future as they have ended their dealings with the Greek Electra Airlines. At the moment their is a mix of Air Scotland and Air Holland crews onboard. Still no news of when Air Scotland will if ever be purchasing/leasing their own a/c.
