Angel French Cabin Crew Pay?

Does anyone out there know how much money French Crew working for French Airlines get paid? I'm particularly interested in Virgin Express. Can anyone help?

I know that user Coppelia works for Virgin Express out of Brussels. Try and send her an email or PM.
If you are interested in AF I can provide you figures.

Don't forget you'll also need your CSS (Certificat de Securite & de Sauvetage) if you want to fly in France. I think AF will still hire you without one, but all the other airlines require you to be licensed beforehand.

CandyBender,
unfortunately AF doesn't hire any more without one, due to all the available CA who already have a CSS. Lately they were recruiting only ex-Air Lib-AOM and people with CSS.
Be aware that unlike other countries where you can only get one through an airline (eg. in Italy only airlines are allowed to book exam sessions at ENAC), there are many schools where you can get a course and also "do it yourself" even if it is almost impossible this way (you would need the constant help of someone who already passed it, and very recently!).
However, in AF there are many different nationality CA, most of which got a CSS before joining.
There is an exception: Cityjet, which crew are based in CDG, but are Irish employed on the books. I know people working there and they are quite happy, even if they don't have the same social benefits and protections of the French employed CA, which are very good!

Thanks for the correction flyblue..........when I flew in France (for IT 1989-1993) all the majors (AF/IT/UT) would take cabin crew on without the CSS, so my experience was sometime ago!!

CandyBender,

actually it is only after 9/11 that they stopped doing it because so many CA were available on the market! This and also that Air Inter and UTA have been taken over by AF, and they were the only airlines that offered CA the same (good) treatment as AF.

Virgin Express crew based in ORY will not need the CSS as Virgin Express is a belgian company... that's the good news. However as far as salaries are concerned I have no idea what they might be like. If you are a french speaker (and reader), visit www.pnc-contact.com, there are several posts on Virgin Express.
