Layovers
what does everyone do on layovers?
I always end up in the hotel room watching movies with a couple of the other crew.
Or sleeping!
Can't really afford to go shopping loads and I can't remember the last time I went to a bar/club.

I usually visit the place (often with other C/C or pilots) if I don't know it or return to places I liked if I have already been there. Also go for shopping (guilty!
) or movies if it's a long layover. When I'm really tired I stay in my room and read or watch TV.
If there is an internet connection I pprune!
The crew usually meet for dinner at night and often the Capt pays for a drink or a bottle of wine.

The correspondence course is a good idea, I've started that and it takes up alot of my time constructively.
Whatever you do though, dont waste your slip, or layover, hanging upside-down in your cupboard!

Tart, What kind of layovers are you talking about? Short night stops not much done. Longer layovers- explore the city you are in! There are tons of NON shopping things you can do in any city!! Museums, galeries, cinemas, bus rides, etc. Dont let the other Delsey Diners keep you from exploring the world!!Everyone has a slam-click layover once in a while but not a life of them!

hi guys - I used to : walk across the nearest bridge, climb the nearest tower, have a long hot bath, read every page of the Sunday Times, write a letter to my university pals, polish every pair of shoes I had with me, have another long hot bath, borrow a mountain bike, visit the nearest liquor store, inspect every room service tray left in the corridor, talk to the maid about her working conditions, go to bed late, get up late, and come home! Not so now at easyJet, with our downtime maxing out at 20 minutes!

Talk to the taxi driver normally hanging around outside and ask him for the three best things you can do in his city.I continue to be amazed at how many "known hell holes" have some really good parts that only the cabbies seem to know about.
