Question Vaa

I heard some rumours that Virgin AA has increased Basic Salary for Flight Attendants? Is that true and if yes, how big is the salary now?

Dear sweety,

You did not say which airline you work for. However I think that when you said many in your company are unhappy and looking for other jobs - they are just saying that. Managers know the people who take the **ss and those that are genuine!!!!

Yes I know, before you say it. I posted this message on wrong thread?!!!\

Friend of mine has been with VS for over three years and constantly complains about the poor salary, especially as she earned more doing short haul for one of the big charter companies on a temporary contract than she does now

Not sure if a rise is on the cards tho, will check for you next time I speak to her

roughly £6.20 per week (before tax) to an Senior F/A, and about £3.50! per week to a Junior F/A There is extra trip pay but once again - no increase in allowances.

That'll take junior f/a pay to around £15,140.

I think it's better if I don't tell which airline I'm working for, but if you really want to know - looking through my previous posts you will probably guess!

Could anyone tell me what is basic salary in Virgin now, please?
As I understand it depends on how much of your allowances you spend when you are away on how much you'll take home?

Thanks in advance!!

Mmm, yes I think you fly with the same airline as me.

Are you LGW or MAN?

If you decide to go to Virgin, good luck to you.
