Aussie interviews last week?????

Has anyone heard anything from Australian Airlines that attended an interview last week. What was it like? Did they give you any indication of what was happening? Are there any schools planned or is it a waitlist scenario as I have heard??

Hi AN

I was there but haven't heard anything yet.

The round of interviews last week was for a waitlist for positions later in the year (of course now depending on how the world situation and SARS pans out).

They currently have in excess of 80 people already waiting to go onto courses for the next couple of aircraft.

The interviews were pretty well organised, it all flowed well and all the people I encountered were friendly/helpful etc!

Cheers,
stormy

Stormywx

Your comment on depending how the world situation and SARS pan out could affect your app to AO amaze me.Only a week ago I made a comment along those lines and YOU cut me down like there was no tomorrow.

Hi Evacuate,

It wasn't meant as how it would effect my situation at all but was giving flygirl a guide of when the positions were for. At this stage they are for a waitlist for late this year but clearly if things change they'll be for later on.

If I am lucky enough to get a position with AO and have to wait until next year to actually start flying because of the war and/or SARS then so be it, it doesn't bother me like it clearly bothered you.

Thats the difference in our posts, you have to take what is written in the context it is written in.

As I said in the other post I wasn't trying to cut you down, rather make you more aware of how your comments were being taken by others and how we sometimes need to think more outside the square.

Finally I hope there were no hard feelings from the other thread, as I said I was just bringing my thoughts and the thoughts of many others to your attention, in a way as diplomatic as possible and again I wish you the best of luck with your application at Qantas.

EVACUATE you really have got it wrong!

CLEARLY to others that read your last thread, you are only concerned about yourself and the effect the war is having on YOU!

Stormywx however is also thinking of others. Perhaps you could try to do the same and remember at the end of the day, its only a bloody job were talking about!
