When will QF recruit again?

Do any QF crew or ANYONE have an idea when QF will recruit again??? or when they may advertise internally again???

From my understanding they are supposed to be overstaffed and that people in the last recruit who went for medicals already shortlisted got told they didn't have a job.

To be honest.... I cant see us recruiting again for some time..

Just watching the crew website, and CIS etc---we are offering shorthaul crew additional leave/ extra part time slots and 'fixed term part time' and the casuals havent worked in ages (except for short 'longhaul' contracts!)- all signs we are over staffed there.

Longhaul has just offered additional leave slots for people who want them, plus reducing some flights to LHR and other ports, due to dropping demand. Plus there is an unbelieveable amount of training courses coming up .... again all signs that we have a few too many crew in longhaul too.

If the war does happen, it will mean further reductions in flying, and again more surplus crew.

But whether the war happens or not, I dont think recruitment will be on the cards for a long time. The only thing I could possibly see changing this is if UA pulls out of Australia, but that may just serve to restore a balance in crewing levels.

My humble opionion only, and QF can change direction overnight! Hope for those on the shortlist, something does change
