Post Famous pax...

What famous pax have been on your flights?

I've had:
Tony Head-Giles off Buffy the Vampire slayer and those coffee adverts. Lovely man!
Atomic Kitten pop group-nice.
Charlottle Church-teenage opera singer. Travelling with her mother. Rather snobby!
Lisa Faulkner-very pleasant.

Snoop Danni Behr!

Well i used to work for a low cost carrier that was owned by BA shall we say!!!!!

One day i had Danni Behr on-board, she came on as though she was the queen of sheeba, with dark glasses and a massive Louis!!!!!!!

After i annoyed her by asking her to stow the huge bag!!! she gave me daggers through her specs all flight!!!

It was a late eve flight and th glasses remained on throughout the flight and after a lot of goading from my collegues i went up to her and said.
"Miss Behr would you like me to turn the cabin lights down, as you have had your glasses on all flight and wondered if the lighting is too bright for you !! ?"

Well after a few more daggers and a bright red face she took them off. i got a complaint letter from her agent and my probation was put back a month !! he he he

Martha Wash......"It's Raining Men", she was so lovely

Prime Minister Keating......not so lovely

John Farhnam.......does he count??

And Lochy Murdoch.....heir to the company who travels on an economy boarding pass and expects to turn left instead of right. Sorry Lochy, all full up front!! Actually he's a really nice guy, and cute as!!

Had a Princess from Malaysia whom I had to call "Your Highness"

They were all good, especially John Farhnam who played a tune for us!!!!

HRH

Years ago I carried Princess Margaret when she was s******g Roddy Llewellyn and she was a complete bitch to the crew operating from BGI to LHR. All she did was drink Gin and complain the whole time. It was one sector I would rather done without. No crew bunks in those days!!!

There again Prince Charles is a real gentleman - he takes time to talk to the crew and shows interest in you. To me he is a warm hearted person who you dont mind carrying.

A friend of mine carried the Queen Mum on a specially converted 707 to Canada once and she caught him wearing one of her hats whilst walking round the a/c. She said to him ''I dont think the colour suites you dear''!!!

Maybe because here is Oz there were ltd carriers I managed to have a lot of celebs on board. To date Paul Young, David Copperfield, Phil Collins, Kylie Minogue, Pat Rafter, Heather Locklear, Billy Joel, Cher, Joe Cocker twice and the very famous Steve Irwin (Crocodile Hunter). Actually an extremely nice man. They were all fine. Alot didnt want to be recognised however a few made sure that they walked through the cabin so everyone saw them. Friends of mine also did the U2, Michael Jackson and Fergie charters. The best part was the free concert tickets that they all willing offered.

famous pax

I am not a cabin crew member yet....i'm still doing catering and transit cleans but often the pax leave their boarding passes in the seat pockets and I fish them out and I've found LOTS!! Alan Border...right through to Steve Irwin! and yes...some do sit in economy probably because in Australia classes are limited

Stars !

Just yesterday saw Lee Evans off to Belfast from LHR - and yes, he does talk like that in real life ! Also Westlife a coupe of weeks ago - real top bunch of lads, very friendly to my female gate staff who were most appreciative ! Their aircraft actually went tech and we did a swop to a remote stand by buses with no complaints, they were more than happy to see peole and sign autographs.

Blue failed to make my Madrid yesterday, probably because of loads of screaming child fans before they hit the gate !!

Sven, our national team manager goes off to Manchester all the time, and last of all - carried about 20 of those delegates for the African Nations Convention in Paris last week - and left all their bags behind because of a mix up with their bag tags !!

(oh yeah, and Ian Duncan Smith last week to Amsterdam - yes he really is a p****!)

Apart from politicians, I had singer Tony Hedley, Princess Grace Kelly and several Italian TV personalities.

I should have taken my instructor's advice 25 years ago to keep an autograph book in my flight bag !

Peter Andre showed me his pecs - they are for real.

Jerry Springer caused an uproar on a flight to the states. Most of economy were yelling "Go Jerry" for the first hour and trying to sneak up to First Class for the whole flight.

Elle McPherson checks her Nanny and baby into economy and travels First but insists on disrupting cabin service in order to visit her offspring on demand.

The children of the Royal House of Monarcho are absolutely charming with impeccable manners. Their dad likes to serve glasses of bubbly to all of his pals travelling in economy.

S Club 7 were all absolutely charming. Did not want any special treatment. Emma Bunton is cool too.

Jerry Hall's hair looks like dead straw close up. Too much bleach over the years no doubt.

Best of all was footballer Dwight York who asked for "Bordocks" ....Bordeaux to you and I.

Famous Pax

Hi there!!

Well lets see.. now this is a story I never really mention as nobody believes me, but in Apr 99 I flew the Man Utd team back from Milan Linate (was flying for Monarch).. This incl the whole team - Ryan Giggs, Dwight York and BECKHAM!!! There was no Posh Spice there, thats who I really wanted to meet. Also on that flight was Richard Wilson (Victor Meldrew) and of course Sir Alex. Was an easy flight to do as none of the players were allowed to drink, so Sir Alex said to my fav Purser that we could keep the champagne as a reward to good service!!
Also with Monarch have flown a few tacky game show hosts and C rated celebs... including Paul Coya (how do u spell that name- did "Turn About" or "Catch Square" or sommat like that on BBC2 in late 80s), Ross King "Kids TV" and Jeremy Beadle back from Malaga (AGP), they were doing a Charity Golf Tournament there. Flown Anneka Rice to Sharm El Sheikh - she was lovely - very nice.
When I flew for BMI, I flew Carol Smillie to Edinburgh, won't disapoint any fans but she was a total BIATCH!!! She never Smiled at all.... Also had Caprice on a flight to Nice with them -she was doing a report for "Wish you were here".
Then lastly thankgod!!!! With Astraeus - the only "celebs" I flew back was Southampton FC football team back from Murcia!!

Anyway - I am still applying to go back to it - why?!!! Wll its a laugh!!

Take care and speak soon

Monarch

Hey Hottowel,

We here in Australia have been graced with the new Airline TV program "Holiday Airline". Only been 1 episode so far and it looks like a hoot. How real is it? Do you fly with the guy in the first episode who got the job?? I'm so glad he got it!!

Seriously, is it the chaotic mess they portray on TV or is it a good airline to be with? When they did the Easyjet series I thought no way, I'm not going to apply for them but your's seems fun and it's great to see ground staff who speak up instead of giving in to unrealistic pax requests. I would love to see an Australian version of this. I'm sure it would be a lot of fun to be involved in. However in the end it is up to the viewer to decide whether this is good publicity or not. Personally it's a hoot to watch but realistically I dont know if it does the airline any good. If anything it's a great insight, and educating to the non-flying public to see what exactly we DO have to deal with.

Well done!!

Had Jamiroquai on board but JK went on BA from London as he always travels BA if possible but his band went with us. Really nice group and went to the concert. Great fun. Also have had Imran Khan on board my flights and Arab royalty

When I paxed on A BA flight had Peter Andre, and got invited to the concert by the baggage carousel in Dubai! My friend had Sir Paul Mcartney and Heather on enroute from Dubai to London. Apparently he was an absolute gentlemen and ever so nice. Also another friend had Take That on years ago.

But in Dubai on the ground, have had the pleasure of meeting Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, Enrique Iglesias, Cindy crawford, Naomi Campbell, Bruce Willis, Jay Kay and Derrick, Sylvester Stallone. If you want to meet the celebs, Dubai is the place to visit as no one hassles them, so you are very likely to see them in a local bar or restaurant .

Talking

Had loads of famous pax, too many to list. It general, they were all polite, with the odd exception. However, I have found that the "cling-ons" or the "do you know who my husband/girlfriend etc is" are the worst behaved. On more than one occassion, the famous pax have actually apologised for their partners behaviour.
