This is really mad 
As many applicants turned off ZS offer, others were suddenly called out of their CVs (without an interview) and were send direct to Malta for the training course
Did you ever knew of an airline offering a job without an interview? This must tell you all about Azzurra Air
Also the senior position is not been granted either to the two current employees

JOB WITHOUT INTERVIEW
Back in the early 90's Ambassador was run by someone who was anti-steward - many good and experienced crew on 737/757 were turned down because of their gender without even an interview - nil male cabin crew appointed but various females called up without intevrview and asked 'can u start course tomorrow ?'
Eventually policy was stopped but individual concerned very anti-steward
