Working for Air Wales
My wife is 4 feet 11 inches tall and therefore a few inches too short to work as cabin crew for the majority of airlines. The one exception is Air Wales, who I believe, impose a maximum height restriction of 5'3" due to the low cabin headroom in the Dornier aircraft they fly.
She has several years of customer service experience, having worked in 5-star hotels both in the UK and abroard, and is of suitable appearance. Also, we live very close to Cardiff Airport, where Air Wales are based.
If anyone has any experience of Air Wales, I would be grateful for information regarding the possibility of her being recruited. I have obtained the address from their website, but need the name of the person she should apply to. Any additional information and advice would be helpful.

Although I haven`t worked for Air Wales, one being 6`2 kinda kills the idea in one shot. However, being a small airline it`s most likely have the usual pros and cons, of any small company in any line of business.
Small airlines tend to me more "hands on" and the pay may be quite low, routes and schedules not overly interesting. Air Wales are quietly expanding.
If your wife is limited to where she can be based etc there is nothing wrong with giving it ago. You only live once so you might as well make the most of it.
Don`t worry too much about names of who to write to.
Cabin Crew Recruitment, or Cabin Crew Manager the CV /letter seems to get to the right person.
Good Luck.
Others to look at Scott Airways, BA Citiexpress, Eastern all operate small planes.
