Number of flight attendents needed per passengers

Recently had a short 1 hour flight(BKK to Udon thani) ,the aircraft was an Airbus 320.I will not mention the airline but there were only one male and one female flight attendant.Is this usual?

In the UK on narrow body aircraft the rule IIRC is one CC member per 50 pax.
So on a 149 seat 737-700 needs 3 CC are required if the flight has more than 101 pax on it (2 CC up to 100 pax)
