Is there any truth in the rumour that BA are short of crew?
Just wanted to know whether there was any truth in the rumour going around at the moment.
Have a friend who was accepted prior sept 11th, and was then politely told "No thanks".
It doesn't seem believeable to me, but you never know!!!

We are short of crew at WWLHR and SHLHR because of route transfers that have happened and that are going to happen in the winter schedule.
But not wishing to rain on anybodys parade the shortfall will be taken up by transfers from WWLGW (leaving roughly 900 crew to man the few routes left) and SHLGW (about 140 people to transfer in October), this should cover any shortages at LHR at the moment and give us at LGW a decent chance at earning some money
Although...rumour has it there could be some recruitment at the end of the year...but...it's only rumour
Hope this clears up what you've been hearing.
