French language requirement

Hello,
Anyone able to clarify the requirement to speak French on a foreign registered aircraft based in France? I'm being told its "the law" but I can find no reference to this in French Law or indeed the DGAC (French aviation authority) literature yet I'm being penalised by this obscure rule.

You might find that different companies have different standards/levels .... or even specific lists of vocabulary and phrases. You might like to ask them directly ... and details might be provided on their recruitment webpages.

Unhappy Try applying for position with agency?

Just thinking that maybe you could contact one of the aviation recruitment agencies such as Parc, Direct Personnel, Contractair etc. If they are posting a position as crew you could ask the agent about requirements speaking French
