cabin crew... help needed

Dear all,

As an author, I am currently writing a chapter in which a passenger becomes ill on a long haul flight, and then, unfortunately, passes away. An integral part of the storyline is how the cabin crew handle this situation. Could anyone assist by advising the SOP for this event, if indeed there is an SOP ( Hopefully not from personal experience !)

Also is there a code word for times when the crew are discussing such an event near pax... (I seem to remember something involving the words "Phonix rising") to avoid using the word "dead"

Can any one confirm this?
(somehow the dead parrot sketch comes to mind...apologies )

Any help would be gratefully received!
many many thanks!
