EK MEL base?

Is there any truth to the rumour that Emirates will open a MEL base in the near future?

Excellent rumour. Not a shred of truth I'm afraid. No plans for new basings outside of DXB.

I was offered a position with them recently. Though not confirmed they are considering a new base: Australia or Singapore. Adds fuel to the rumour that they will try to fly here domestically in the not so distant future.....

I remember somebody asking that question during Emirate interview in april but the answer was "for now there are no plans for a base outside UAE and all the crew we are currently recruiting will be living in Dubai". Clear enough to me!

Stewardess007, we might have met (before 11:30 as far as I am concerned...) if you were at the Hilton last month... Give me a sign!
