As pax, I still watch the safety briefing EVERY TIME I fly. 1) It's courteous 2) It might persuade someone sitting in the next seat, who isn't a frequent flyer, to watch it too 3) It might save my life

Recall one very amusing female CC announcing that the girls at the back had got theirs off and she was about to get hers off, pause for sniggering, ''please ensure your phones are switched off too'' Dont claim this to be original but did nontheless hear it loud and clear.

Perhaps the entertainment system could have a crew initiated crash mode? This would inhibit the aircraft status page-after all who wants to view the parameters of a spiral dive- and instead replay the more interesting parts of the safety briefing. All viewable from the braced position obviously.
