"In Praise of Early Stewardesses" - from the BBC

The picture on page 4 shows "plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose"...

Here you are TightSlot; long live the ease of a Mac screenshot.

Ferny, indeed.
Still and all, the trick is not to let it get to this stage in the first place.
Which needs eyes in the back of one's head and enforcing a strict zero-tolerance policy when dealing with the "drink from your own tax-free bottle" brigade, and great diplomacy & tact when dealing with normal pax drinking too much from the free bar.

Nice pictures anyway.

It doesn't work here and it definitely says on the page that comes up that "this site is not accessible from the UK."

BBC Travel (international version)
We're sorry but this site is not accessible from the UK as it is part of our international service and is not funded by the licence fee. It is run commercially by BBC Worldwide, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BBC, the profits made from it go back to BBC programme-makers to help fund great new BBC programmes.

Folks, do you really need to argue about the length of a piece of string?

Thought not.

I loved the free-standing folding metal chair.

Anyone for severe turbulence?
