Do your feet hurt?
Hello everybody!
I have been flying for 1 year and I am having a blast doing this job! My only issue is that I have very painful feet and legs at the end of the flight.
Those of you who have been flying for long time...How do you manage? Any tips on preventing or treating this? Are you doing any exercise during the flight? Wear sports insoles? Helppp!!!

After years of flying, I had to find a solution for this problem.
I had shoes custom made by an orthopedist technician, with their own custom made insoles (molded on my feet). After a trip or two I also had a layer of a special soft rubber applied on top of my insoles, to make it softer. Problem solved, but the downside is that it was extremely expensive (but still worth it for me).

I always try to remove my shoes and elevate my legs a little at quite times during flights. By wearing shoes with leather inner lining, my feet don't even smell. It helps with potential swelling and lets you skin breath a little. I also massage them a little occasionally, to restore circulation. Wearing medium or firm support thights also helps better circulation, but they are a little pricey, you can get a pair in m&s for a fiver or two pairs at sainsburys for £4.50. These, as well as comfortable shoes work well for me.

You need to make sure you wear very flat and really comfy cabin shoes. I see lots of crew wearing heels because they look nicer but the flatter the better.
If you are not careful and check that your shoes are really comfortable and flat, you can end up with bunions when you get older and these are very uncomfortable and painful and can require an operation!

Medical Stockings are my life saver. A little bit of an effort putting them on thou but it saves your legs from spider veins and pain. It a bit expensive aswell, around 10-20euros depending on the brand and the thickness.

Thank you everybody, that is great advice! I will try the stockings as soon as I can find an m&s shop
As far as the flat cabin shoes, my company has quite strict grooming guidelines, so we are only allowed the cabin shoes provided which have a 1 inch heel
Do you know any good insoles that maybe don't get smelly?
