So - with todays uniforms - are they just that - an outer shell designed to look good, or have airlines cottoned on to the fact that they might have to be practical in a safety sence too -ie made of natural materials which dont melt and turn you waterproof in a fire, or offer the wearer some protection ?
Just that I remember all our RN working rig was hastily replaced after the Falklands as the original stuff was designed for easy care and not for its protective qualities - as many found to their cost.

Ah yes,I gave several of those demos on the ramp at LGW,while my hands were full on windy days !! Once got a round of applause from a 1-11 flight deck crew for the display..

I've never been influenced by the uniform of cc. Most ladies and gents do a fine job respective of company designs of working uniform. I love you all, no matter who you work for, your all fantastic.

Well TightSlot the only thing you couldn't complain about on Panam was the service. There wasn't any!! My vote of course goes to BCAL although the uniform on ' Come fly with me' (the bluey pinky one) looks good to me. Why didn't anyone think of that?
