Cabin Crew Perks
Hi,
I currently work for a UK charter airline which is undergoing quite a lot of changes. Currently management are tweeking concessions and perks we get to make it "fair for all"
As all management do, they persist that they are only making these changes in line with other operators.
So, could you please if possible give me details of your benefits package i'm not interested in take home pay or anything like that just perks like:-
Sby travel limits? network? limited to own or alliances?
Healthcare?
upgrades onboard?
Baggage Charges? do they apply to staff travel?
Other discounts with partners, group companies?
Many Thanks

In answer to your question and speaking as Cabin crew for BA:
Staff standby ID90 - unlimitted number per year, on BA, One World Partners and certain specified other carriers (Virgin, for eg). ID75 on certain other carriers.
No onboard upgrade facility.
No healthcare plan.
Same baggage rules as commercial pax.

Just a slight enhancement on the BA concessions to support what Beagle says,
Unlimited ID90's on BA/OW and ZED airlines (ZED fares are slighty more expensive then BA and OW airlines).
Concessions extended to immediate family or 2 "buddys" of your choice (only BA unless family).
Ability to purchase more expensive tickets with greater priority for premium cabins.
However, looks like were all about to lose ours! LOL!

Just another enhancement, to clarify:
No ID90s at all, now BA staff are buying tickets for their own airline with ZED (Zed low) fares, based on distance to destination, same as oneworld and other airlines (around 70 other airlines). Depending on the agreement with the other airlines the ZED fares can be ZL, ZM, or ZH (low, medium or high, being high the most expensive). Club cabin bookable free ticket after a certain amount of years (only one per year). And they have just lost the oneworld agreement tickets for parents and siblings (ID80). BA has closed the agreements with any airline that refused to move from the percentage (IDxx) to the ZED fares.
Iberia: Far better. 10 free tickets a year from day 1 of permanent contract (some non-goverment taxes waived, so tickets are VERY cheap). Unlimited ID92s. If you donīt use your freebies for 2 years, the 10 of them become bookable the next year (with guaranteed, unless disruption, seat allocation). Usual oneworld agreements and ZED agreements with many airlines.
