Carrying Syringes and Drugs
My wife has been prescribed some drugs that have to be injected every other day.
During the period that she will be taking them we have 2 trips booked - one to Canada with BA, and one to Germany with Ryanair.
Can anyone help with how we'll be able to carry the needles and drugs?

Get a doctors letter and they can be carried in hand luggage. My other half has to inject Warfarin every day, security don't even bat an eyelid as long as you tell them before the bag goes through. We have been through Liverpool and Manchester within the last few weeks and we were really worried it might cause alarm. It was a total non-event

Carry a doctor's letter stating that your wife needs regular access to needles and medicinal liquids, and that it would be too risky for these to be hold-loaded in baggage which might be lost.
I'd also suggest carrying a few photocopies of the letter, and showing only a photocopy to security, as they might just want to keep it. If they keep the original, and you have no copies, you may encounter problems on your next flight.
Always tell security before the objects go through the scanner.
It makes your explanation more credible than one given after you've been "caught", and you'll find the scanner operators generally appreciate the fact that they've had advance notice from you that there is something coming through they should notice!

Also a good idea to carry samples of the packaging seperately as drug names/strengths/types vary around the world, so it's a "just in case" you need more supplies
