GUys,
The truth is we are like the nurses in a hospital or the office manager: without us everything will fall apart.

Conan,
You may not have meant to sound like you are 'putting us cabin crew down' but your posts are incorrectly making a mockery of our job and presenting the wrong impression for Flock1.
very low indeed....

Conan You Have No Idea
Conan,
I am a cabin crew instructor.
80% of cabin crew training is safety related. The other 20% is inflight service and grooming.
I have never come across anyone who has failed the tests for the latter but have had many who have failed and had to restudy the former so from a skills perspective we put far more emphasis on safety skills than service skills.
If in the perfect world there was no need for cabin crew for safety reasons, LCC airlines would operate without them and put in vending machines.
Safety training is very tightly regulated by Civil Aviation Authorities. In flight service is not regulated.
The PRIMARY SKILLS of cabin crew are flight safety and emergency situations. The SECONDARY SKILLS are service. It just so happens that the secondary skills are SEEN to by the narrow minded and the primary skills are unseen until the **** hits the fan.
Conan, get the facts right.
