To the crew on VS19, Tuesday 3 Feb
I gathered from the various announcements that the weather meant the that the crew numbers weren't at the usual level, and some people who'd happened to be around LHR had been drafted onto a swift trip to SFO. And the plane was packed to the gunwales with people who'd been booked for the cancelled flight the previous day. And there was a long ground hold for de-icing, too. As I made the journey over from the hotel on Tuesday morning I'd been expecting chaos on the ground and probably either a hassle-ful flight or a cancelation.
And what did we get? A relaxed, super cabin crew. OK, I was in premium economy on this occasion, but from a conversation I overheard at the luggage carrousel people were equally impressed. It sounds like VS had to go the extra mile, and their crew did a damn fine job.
VS20 back this morning was a lot quieter, but another lovely flight.

Isn't it nice to have a nice letter for once! I wasn't on that specific flight but I did hear that they all did a fine job - as always
Hope you enjoyed your week in San Francisco.
