Just where is best to work right now

Nobody has the benefit of hindsight or a cristal ball but was wondering where best to pitch for work if one has a choice in these current times.

Can't help but thinking maybe charter airlines (for fixed term contracts) maybe better as I believe people will go back to the old days of going on hols once or twice a year with the 'peace of mind' of an ATOL protected package holliday.

Lo-Co's have relied on Business (prob not at risk), flight only and short break markets and I think the latter is going to take a real hit next year.

But then again by taking a charter ailrine may end in tears if bookings for hollidays are rubbish in the next few months.

Be good to know what others think. Having a choice of airlines to work for is an enviable position to be in right now, but given a choice where would you go?

BA full term contract everytime.
BA has never ever made anycrew redundant. Even after Gulf War 1 ( they are steeling our oil ) and the sequels Gulf War 2 (revenge of al quaeda part one) and ( WMD this time its serious ) BA have always managed to manage the crisis buy voluntary severence etc .

Go with an airline that is still making profits...

Most European airlines (if not all) have suffered severely by the credit crunch... Go to the middle east, with Emirates, Qatar, Etihad etc... They are still ordering new planes, and expanding to new destinations...
