F/A License?

Do various countries require an F/A to have a "Flight Attendant License", take a blood test, or a physical?
thanks,
bob.

yes, as far as I am aware, all countries require a medical (which includes a blood test) and many in the EU have licences.

France and Italy both have a CC license and require CC to pass an official (meaning not the airline´s own medical but it has to meet the local CAA´s requirements) medical similar to pilots (paid by the airline).

Shall I correct you?

the medical test in Italy is NOT paid by the airline but the candidate, prior to commence his traing course, have to pay the government department around 250 euro in taxes and admin fees.

anyway,

now most of european countries will issue a JAR EU-OPS Cabin Crew Certificate I wonder why the UK is not interested to have it...

The medical test, once you are hired, is paid by the airline. As for the first test prior to commence the training course, it depends on the airline. Some pay it, some don´t (but it is once in a whole career).

In the US some airlines issue a check up in their medical department. Other airlines have none at all. The FAA does not require a medical. The FAA F/A license only proves that you have completed and passed training. It is not aircraft specific..
