Dress code for CX (ID90) ?

Just wondering what the dress code for Cathay Pacific is when using ID90 tickets? My own airline has relaxed the rules for EY class travel but I'm using CX to connect to Japan and don't want to get bumped off for wearing jeans.

When in doubt, dress yourself up. Even if an airline has relaxed rules for Y, you don't want to be passed up for a J upgrade or a jump seat.

Good advice and I do normally err on the side of caution. But traveling light this time with carry-ons only so space is at a premium (I have pretty big shoes ).

Yes CX ID travel has a NO jean policy plus collard shirts and believe chicks can't have open toe shoes/sandles.

And they do enforce it in HK to the point of no common sence, if it even looks like jean it's not on

Sadly to tell you! I am workin in CX for bloody 8 years! Everytime with my ID or Annual FOC! Staffs are never ever had a chance to upgrade to J not even think about F!

They rather upgrade their bloody Marco Polo Club Members or OneWorld Members instead!

Thanks Kelvin (and SMOC & IJWTF). Came back from HKG recently and while we didnt get upgraded (which I wasn't expecting anyway), my wife and I were treated very well by the check in staff! On the way to Osaka, they even advised us to keep a free page on our passports (mine was getting full) cos the Japanese Immigration like a blank page to stamp. The best thing is, we arrived at the check in early by 2hrs both ways and they checked us in on the spot even tho the flight was quite full! In my own airline, the flight could be almost empty, and you can arrive 2hrs early and they will make you wait till the last 20 mins before departure before issuing boarding passes.
So, CX has given us nothing but a good experience. In fact we were quite impressed and planning to go to Moscow through HKG as well next month!
