Existing QCCA crew

just thought of starting a thread so we ( already fying QCCA crew ) could discuss any relevant issues so far...
just read an email fomr FAAA and it looks like in the next roster BP27 they will be able to allocate more hours for those of you with a flying line.
it read :
"Following the review of the rosters by the Planning & Scheduling Committee, we can advise that for the Sydney base, QCCA rosters includes AKL/LAX, BKK, FRA, HKG, JNB, PER, PVG & SIN patterns. For the Melbourne based QCCA crew, rosters were made up of a combination of HKG, PER & SIN patterns. However, as the rosters are randomly generated, varieties of patterns are not evenly shared between different rosters."
it also mentioned the following:
"QCCA crew may be aware that the EBA provides for an agreed roster value of up to 240 hours with an average roster value of approximately 220 hours. In an effort to produce rosters of equitable average hours, the Company has agreed to construct rosters at a lower range of between 210 and 225 hours. Anticipated consequences of the lower average range are rosters substantially below the agreed maximum of 240 hours.

To mitigate the ‘low line’ consequence, the Association has agreed with QCCA for the trial implementation of a ‘low line reclaimable hours’ arrangement:

Crew with a planned line value of 210 hours or less will be available to QCCA for assignment of duties on ‘A’ days. The assignment of duties may project low line crew up to a maximum of 220 hours.

QCCA can only make 2 assignments to recoup low line reclaimable hours and will be given a minimum of 8 hours notice of such assignment.

Assignment of duties and the home base minimum rest following the assigned duty can infringe on ‘X’ days but will not infringe on planned roster duties.

QCCA crew with low line reclaimable hours will have a 1 occasion ability to move a group of up to 5 roster days off (‘X’ days) to anywhere on their roster by contacting Operations before day 15 of the roster. This will provide crew with some control on their availability to the Company for assignment of duties. Note: Operations will only move 1 planned single block of roster days off and home base minimum rest will also need to be observed.

QCCA cannot assign standby duties to offset low line reclaimable hours."
ps: could somebody explain a bit better ? it all seems so complicated ....
