Any advice for training course?

I'm starting a new training course for soon worldwide and i'm so nervous. I've done this before but I am worried about passing all the exams. I struggled through last time and I felt some people breezed through the exams easier without so much as a sweat. I'm enthusiastic about this and going to give it my 110% no doubt but I want to get rid of worrying about passing the exams. When I am on a flight I am so confident. I struggled through the training but on my first flights i was getting letters from pax for looking after them so well and I remember my senior saying have I flown before because I'm so confident but in the training I tense up more and I know I shouldn't do that to get through this again.

I know my stuff and study hard but before an exam I feel literally sick like throwing up and it doesn't do me any good at all.

Can someone give me advice please. I am going to be working for one of the best airlines and want to give it my everything and more.

MOds please don't move because no replies on the other thread..

Well maybe your 2nd time will be easier?

Remember, it's just a job. Being cabin crew isn't rocket science. Yes, we are responsible for safety etc etc but compared to doing a PhD...

As long as you study and revise I don't see why you wouldn't pass. Seek support from your trainers too.

You sound like you are a very good flight attendant, just think of the end goal and keep that in your mind. THINK POSITIVE.

Good luck!

I can totally sympathise with you! Every year before recurrents i get that same feeling, even though i know i know my stuff, upside down, inside out and back to front!

I dont know the airlines proceedure but at the start of the training i would mention to your trainers that you get very nervous in exams. Certainly all the trainers i have worked with will help you in any way possible. Be that through extra tuition or just the 'heads up' on when the exams will be and what they will contain, in order for you to feel more confident.

A good idea is to 'buddy' up with someone for your study sessions. I find that you learn almost as much asking questions as you do answering them rather than staring into an SEP manual for hours on end with no interaction with anyone.

During the course ask as many questions as you need to....remember 'there is no such thing as a stupid question' if its going to help your understanding of a topic.

Finally as Virginia quite rightly said, you sound like you are a great cabin crew member. Think positive, be confident in your abilites and have fun, stressing will not help you at all.

Good luck and safe flying.

Study hard (it sounds like you do anyway), enjoy it and don't be afraid to ask questions.

The exams aren't there to catch you out, but to ensure you know your noddles!

And remember - RTFQ, RTFA and you won't go far wrong!

Thats what i always tell my crew before every exam.

Thanks everyone. I will be starting with British Airways and know that it is my second time training and I know more of what to expect. I'm excited and overwhelmed to finally be starting with BA and i'm much more nervous than my last airline but also 10 times more excited. Thanks
