Why do cabin crew insist on making pax close the window shades on westbound day flights over the pond? It's unnatural and may in fact induce jetlag. I can comprehend the logic on overnight eastbound flights with an early sunrise but not a mid-day westbound crossing. Your views?

No idea why?I know i've never seen it done on our westbound flights ,but we always keep blinds up 3 rows FWD and AFT of any exit or door on takeoff app and landing .
