Only the AC web site , nothing for OZ yet. The talk in Canada is late this year, once the merger is complete, I have been told the reason is to get a world network for UA/AC/SQ.

It would make sense for them to (open up a base here), as QF has cut ties with CP and will start flying to Canada as of June/July ( 3x a week to YYZ + 2x weekly to YVR I believe).

Air Canada is not opening a base in Sydney!!

As of July 3 Canadian Airlines in Codeshare with Air Canada will add the flight HNL-SYD-HNL to meet with it's current schedule of YYZ-HNL and YVR-HNL, thus allowing both cities to link up with the HNL-SYD flight. In fact the flight YVR-HNL is the flight aircraft that will continue after a staion stop and crew change onto SYD

SYD will be a layover base!!
Sorry to break your hearts!!
