Are you too on the short list for QF????

I was just wondering if any one out there is also on the short list for QF???
If so………….I thought we could use this site to share any information we may have heard.
I’m starting to get very nervous as I’ve been on their list since February and I still haven’t heard anything!
The latest rumor I heard is that they are only offering 6-month contracts??? I also heard they are recruiting again in Step………..how when there are so many people on there short list?????
Lets share all our info and hopefully we’ll be less in the dark

i have a few friends on the short list as well and they too have heard nothing..

but rumour is in the air about the 6 month contract and that they will again recruit later this year, wether its true or not i do not know..

I believe the rumours about the six month contract are true ( it's on the QF Cabin Crew Web site which is run by QF - so it must be).

They will need to recuit from the short list for the new bases in Perth and Melbourne (Longhaul) opening in January..... mainly for the Perth base, I believe there are about 100 unfilled positions for that base, only a handful for Melbourne.

Plus 5 new B767's from BA are yet to arrive this year and early next year.

As far as I know, no more interviews are going to happen this financial year, there are hundreds on the short list.

Thanks guy’s for the info.
I just received a letter from QF saying, in short that I might need to come in for another interview and that once my letter expires (1 year after being accepted) I’ll have to re-apply for the position. In the letter it also says that they will be some courses OCT/NOV……some short team contracts some casual contracts.
I recently heard that there’s over 600 people on the short list, it looks like some people are going to miss out, I just hope it’s not me !!!!!!
