I am currently completing the emirates application form for cabin crew. I knnow that successful candidates reside in Dubai. Does anyone know what life is like working for emirates?
Also, I know this sounds shallow , but are there any tips on the kind of photo you should send in? Particular outfi? Casual or smart? In fact, tops on absolutey anything would be great!

With your photo.......smart, business type. Dark suit, knee length skirt for girls, no pants or long skirts. Hair tied back or short (for guys).
And its true....the worst pax in the world!!
Living in Dubai is OK......but only because you fly long haul and are away from the place most of the time. For a girl....prepared to get constantly stared at and more often than not harrassed by men of ALL nationalities (except for european decent....most of the time anyway!). If you are up for starting a business card collection of completely unsavoury guys then this is the place to come, as you will get them EVERYWHERE you go (even grocery shopping).
For guys.....this is the place to be to sew your wild oats...especially those with a whole sack of them. The female to male ratio more than favours the guys. Many guys have more than one girl on the go.
The weather goes from 11C at night in winter to 50C in the middle of the day in summer.
To get anything from an alcohol licence to an internet connection, you need your companies permission, and it takes about 6 weeks to process anything and everything.
There is a lot to do from lazy days at the beach to sky diving...and everything in between. Sorry for the "essay" but you asked.........(smile)

AIRLINEHOPPER.........
Your girlfriend should expect to have her EVERY move watched and analysed. It is the furtherest thing from fun!!!! It will be a group interview, lasting most of the day. She should wear EXACTLY as her acceptance letter states, be involved with group activites (but not try to "take over"....by the way, most of the day is group activities), and be really aware of her body language (open and interested). All in all though, they are desperate for crew, so she will have to do something pretty major not to get in. Wish her all my luck!
