Accomodation at/near Stansted
Hi everyone,
I will be looking for accomodation in the Stansted area in about 2 months. Ideally would like to share a flat or house with 1 or more other airline crew. I'll be long haul so away quite a lot. I'm late twenties, fun and easy to get along with. Does anyone have any ideas regarding where I might search for others looking to share? Thanks in advance.

Also check with the airline you are going to be with. In most crew rooms at STN people put notices up about accommodation, house shares etc. Your own company have probably got a notice board or you could maybe try putting your own notice up in other airlines crew rooms as well as your own?

MP,
Long Haul and a skydiver... In which case why have an apartment at all? Just hire a few big lockers in STN and when you get back from a trip it's either:
Short break: take a tent and camp at your UK DZ (Nethers, Langar etc)
Mid-sized break: Exercise staff discount privileges and go to European DZ (Empuria, Gap, etc)
Longer break: Exercise staff discount and off to the States (Eloy, Perris etc)
Just think how many jump tickets you could buy with all that money you're thinking of wasting on rent...
Just kidding (well kind of- now I've written it it actually doesn't sound like such a bad idea...). Seriously you might get more answers if you post this on aircrew notices (though - and I'm assuming your female - you might also get a bit more banter as well...)

If you can get to the airport at STN then make your way to Enterprise House (a large square green glass building adjacent to the main terminal). Numerous airlines have offices in there and loads have crew notice boards with various accomodation options on display ( well, ours sure does !)

This isn't what you are looking for but if anyone is stuck for somewhere for one or two night this place is recommended. Can sometimes see wild deer out back if you turn the lights off and peek through the curtains. The rooms are reasonably new and there is a shared kitchen you can use if getting up early.
