Thumbs down passenger service agents

As a purser with seventeen years flying behind me, why is it in the year 2000 ground staff meeting the aircraft at lgw/lhr these days seem uwilling to put themselves out in the slightest, the majority have no interest in their profession and do little to continue the hard work and customer care we provide during flight.

Unhappy

Ive been Ground Crew witha Handling Agent at MAN for a number of years and over the last couple of years the standard of the Passenger Agents employed has dropped, and they are just not interested at all as many are 18/19 just killing time before uni or college. thankfully there are a few of us left who still like to meet the aircraft with a smile and go that extra mile to help both the crew and passengers. Unfortunaltly the present pax agents are letting us all down and I doubt things will improve!!!
