ANZ in London

Hey Swizzle Stick,
Yes, ANZ are recruiting for Uk based FLIGHÝ ATTENDANTS (if you MUST abbreviate, we prefer flighties - the word 'hosties' leaves the male of the gender out in the cold). Sorry to be pedantic...but anyway...
I don't know whom or where to apply to, but a friend of a friend of mine got into ANZ in Auckland (ex-Sydney resident). This new ANZ recruitee gave my friend a phone number for me to contact in AKL. After speaking with the delightful Cabin Crew department (no hang ups here, unlike QF for example), I was told that they are recruiting for London and POSSIBLY a Sydney base later on.
One would imagine that it would be solely for the LAX-LHR sectors (its a loooong way doing SYD-LAX-LHR!! SYD-LAX is 14 hrs non stop!) - possibly doing all the way to SYD. Who knows, but they only go to LAX from LHR, and from LAX they go to FRA, LHR, AKL, PPT and SYD.
Possibility of contract work (most airlines who recruit outside of their own country often get overseas based staff to do the contract thing - Lauda, QF are examples). Read and check everything THOROUGHLY.
Hope this info helps!

It is correct that ANZ are recruiting for F/A's
The route is LHR/LAX, and the crews will be made up of a mix of NZ'ers and UK based passport holders
Recruitment started a month ago, and the interviews are being held between the 13-17th of December. Training will be 5 weeks in NZ
An agency based in SE1 London was used for the screening process.
Several of our people have been called for an interview.
They advertise in the free NZ paper in London and also in the Gatwick and LHR freebies.
Good luck to all
