cabinboy,
It's really not necessary for language like yours. I wonder if everyone else on this board appreciates it? I certainly hope that everyone else using this board is friendlier then yourself! You do hell of a good job scaring new members away.
You are right about the Highabove bulletin board at the moment, it is slow but as RadioFlyer mentioned, give them a chance everyone has to start somewhere. Sure enough,...it's done enough to get your attention if you visit there "Everytime you log in."
Anyway, I was only trying to help out and thought the cabin crew members on this board may appreciate an alternative? No one's forcing anyone to go anywhere, the choice is yours....So here is the link again for those interested: http://www.highabove.com/ubb/Ultimate.cgi.

What a cr@p site that high above is - it contains material stolen from PPRuNe - the PPRuNe "evolution of a flight attendant" from the humour section of these pages now appears on theirs. I took the trouble to tell them but the moderator has removed the PPRuNe reference from my posting - obviously scared of losing what few users it has !

Ohhh Sensible....my words exactly....but according to flying fish I speak horrible language and don't know what I am talking about so....I guess you are wrong too.
Flying fish is " obviously " the moderator of the highabove bulletin board hence his/her reason for trying to promote it on this BB and snapping at anyone who voices there opinion.
Why do we need a 2nd cabin crew bulletin board when this one does the exact same thing ?
Tarantella...you can run...but you can't hide ! Where are you ?

Hi Cabinboy
Long time no see!
I personally think that Highabove is a fantastic site and I read it all the time.
The QAC private forum does get a bit more traffic but I guess that is because it is specific to my own airline so I find a lot of the stuff relevant to me.
I find it very interesting (to say the least) that many of you seem to be getting off on Highabove Bashing and then in the same breath defend Pprune's cabincrew page because it is only 7 months old.
Highabove is barely 2 months old and isn't disrespectful of other's sites.
Pprune is often recommended for its airline content.
Cabinboy & Radioflyer: Does being a member of one bulletin board preclude you from being a member of other bulletin boards? I am a member of both and enjoy reading both.
A number of pilots are posting to highabove now and find no conflict of interest.
Sensible: How many times do you receive the same joke through email from different people? Sharing a joke is hardly plagiarism.
Flyingfish: Everyone is entitled to their ownopinion and level of profanity. I understand your enthusiasm for highabove and I share it, but antagonising others and dissing their forums is not condusive to harmony and information sharing.
And as far as interesting things go, if you have something of interest to post - then post it! That's how these things grow, and everybody benefits.
* Tarantella gets down off the soapbox and continues reading Pprune & Highabove*

Personally, I always check out the cabin crew threads - the posters are often more attractive than those on Jet Blast!
Sexism aside, yes it does seem strange that, on any given flight, the cabin crew outnumber the "drivers" significantly (so one would assume there are more of them worldwide?) but there is less activity here than on rumours and news or jet blast.
Come on ladies (and cabin boys!) lets have your input - I know you have some interesting stories to tell as I hear lots of them from an effay friend!
Edited due to my bad trypinge!

Flight Sims, very expensive toys - but real fun to play with!

Tarantella,
You didn't respond to my request for your QAC password....
If I am a good boy will you cut and paste some of the interesting stuff on there and
e-mail it to me for a peek ? You know it would keep this boy happy for a long time
Cheers

Hiya folks!
Just to defend my good name,
I must say that no, membership in one Bulletin Board does not exclude one from membership elsewhere. I just said that the Highabove site didn't contain much to interest me as it seemed too centered on Oz-based guys and gals. Maybe that will change in time, and I will check in on how its doing from time to time, I guess. In the meantime, as a show of good faith, I provide another link to an even newer site for us FAs: http://www.discussion-board.com/PlaneTalk7/
It's only got a grand total of 81 members at the moment, but there's a lot of potential in it and membership is fast growing as word gets around.
Funny enough, already waaaayyy in the lead when it comes to contributions is the Hong Kong section: it was in double digits even before I got there, while every other section is still at a single digit! Even here, the Fragrant Harbor forum is a pretty darned lively section. I wonder why so many of us in Hong Kong have so much time to spend on the net. My guess is that we're all trying to get away from the atrocious prices at the pubs.
Any other ideas?

Hello everyone,
Must say that at least in this forum we don't get the same topics you get in highabove (and that's a good thing!)
The last thing I need when I log on the net is a heated debate about homosexuals (I much prefer the lighthearted, friendly topics we all discuss here!). If you don't know what I'm talking about, take a peek at highabove's cabin crew forum - very indepth and in some ways offensive (the last thing I need at 10pm).
As for cabinboy's language - I've heard and receive far worse everyday from our self loading freight! At least he had the decency to put an asterisk where it mattered!!
And that is my $2 worth!
