Post K2000

For those of you intested in value based airlines, I saw the cabin crew of K2000 on the weekend, the Pursers all from Turkey are dressed in designer suits both boys and girls and the cabin crew working along side of them and who are locally employed, Bne & AKl based are wearing peddle pushers, sneakers with a large bit of rubber to burn on their soles a black t-shirt and a knapsack, must say they looked like they were going camping.

Cool

Sorry, but who are K2000....the name sounds similar to Air2000, but the uniform doesn't.
There are certainly lots more 'casual but smart' cabin crew uniforms, notably Southwest, Go & Easyjet, & I think this will probably be the way the major carriers go too, however I don't believe that pedal pushers will become that popular in the mile high fashion stakes!

K2000 have recruited some local Cabin Crew and using the Pegasus Cockpit Crews and Pursers plus Engineers.

K2000 are a true "virtual airline" as they only operate (by wet lease) from 1 Dec 1999 to 31 March 2000 - then finish.

This was apparently the busiest and best time of the year for Kiwi when it operated. Kiwi made its money in summer and lost its shirt every winter. So K2000 doesn't operate in Winter!

Question

Yep your right Kiwi lost their underwear in that one and are still looking for them. Interesting to see that a particular gentleman who was also the founder of Kiwi E.... W....n is also at the forfront of K2000 after, how does that gel when he was ordered by the courts not to have anything to do with an airline for 6 years I think it was after his recent bankruptcy hearing.
stranger things have flown!
