As a pax. I am constantly amazed at the efficiency with which aisle trolleys are handled by FA's......what do they weight on say a B737.....and has anyone (academic or union) worked out the effort needed to push them up say a 5 degree up-slope or hold them on a 5 degree down slope???
Outstanding work guys and gals........and thanks.(I'll be the one with me mouth open and a Talisker in my hand thinking .......how the pluck do they manage that !!!!!!!!!!!!0

The weight of the trolleys all depend what is in them. A business class trolley with trays containing china glass and once upon a time metal cutlery are heavy, compared to trollys containing say economy trays which have melemine cups and "dog" dishes.
A double food trolley hold up to either 28 or 30 half trays. The top has the facility to put dry ice in to keep cool.
Bar trolleys are loaded with the weight at the bottom ie the wine bottles to stop them tiping over.
The galleys have approved stowage spaces regarding weight, and whether a single or double cart can be stowed in that space. Some trolley stowages do not allow a single one to be placed there due to the locking system in that space. All galley spaces are numbered and trolleys and atlas boxes are stowed correctly by the caterers.
As for our efficiency we take the cabin crew trolley driving test over a number of weeks on the training course
If in the climb two crew should help push the trolley and we are taught the correct methods in manual handling and lifting correctly. All trolleys are checked that the wheels run smoothly and the brakes work, if not the crew report the trolley as defective and its repaired.
Hope this helps
