Question Skywest Pay

Just wondering if anyone knew what the pay is for those working as casual F/A's with Skywest in Perth - is it the same as Ansett or different. Also any ideas if they are recruiting again soon??

Cheers All,
Miss S xxx

Thanks SNI for your info. At the moment however, I am particularly interested in Skywest and their pay and conditions. Any info appreciated.

Kind Regards,

It goes a little something like this....

Skywest used to have great conditions, on basically a domestic award (the original NJS Airlink award).

But recently it was given the ol' heave-ho (all the f/a's who were on the old conditions were given a choice - stay at Skywest on the new conditions or transfer over to Ansett domestic - most took the transfer..... but now no-one can transfer from Skywest to Ansett anymore).

Now all positions are contract/ casual (I believe, except for a few people who decided to stay at Skywest and not go to Ansett), and the conditions are pretty poor, about the same as Kendell, maybe less.

Have a friend who flys there, she says it's appalling conditions and pay (compared to what it used to be).

Contact the Flight Attendants Association of Australia, WA branch www.faaadomestic.org.au , they'll be able to tell you all about the conditions.
