I can't help you too much with Qantas. I CAN tell you that Virgin Blue are recruiting for Call Centre Staff in Brisbane at the moment, and Qantas are accepting applications for the Qantas Cadet Pilot Programme. My best suggestion would be to check the Qantas website as its the first place they will advertise. Also, if you've got some spare cash, theres a course run around the country by brisbane based Results Centre. Its probably one of the best ways to find out whos hiring and when. Looks as though we will be retrenching before we are going to be recruiting again!!
All new posiitons seem to be going to ex-contract employees at the moment. If the company gets rid of one crew member per aircraft, as they want to do, we will have to make a few hundred cabin crew redundant.
