Post casual versus fixed

I would like to hear from anyone in the industry wether or not you can survive on a casual wage and enquire as to why qantas if at all true finish up with people after they have completd a contract with them .To me the cost of training then re hireing new staff all the time would cost them more in the long run . Has anyone recently been offered permanent positions after taking on fix/casual work and further more I have read about people getting there wings please explain?... I have a second interview with qantas and I have heard there will be physc questions involved I would appreciate any tips or clues as what to expect .Can you make a career out of flying in the 21 century??? .Any infomation I recieve I hope will help others . Thanks
