Question for you EZY people out there:

What exactly is your staff travel policy? Does it include your partner? Are you really entitled to a confirmed seat? etc

Many thanks chaps!

For you GB guys - I tried formany years to look after your interests before I left for pastures new....

These are the questions you should ask:

1) Will you keep rank?
2) Will you keep seniority? (payscale!)
3) Will you keep base?
4) What will happen to all the A/P's?
5) Will you be offered redundancy if requested?
6) A Purser has a different contract than main cabin crew (and responsabilities), it is a different job from main cc. If they offer you 'just' main crew you should be entitled to redundancy.
7) Will you get sector pay as from the 01st of April? (not that silly flight pay).
8) When will you be able to use all EZY benefits? (staff travel etc).
9) Will you be given a new written contract to be signed?
10) Wll EZY allow to swop to one of their other bases?

Let me know if you need some more questions to be answered! Dont let the Gibraltarian Mafia screw you again! Its getting a bit sore!

Hi Lauderdale. Our staff travel policy is very simple, in-fact it's a website similar to the easyJet one! You log on, search for your flights, tick the box on the dates you want to go, pay for the the seat & then it'll give you a reference number which you can quote at the check-in desk. That's it, once you've booked, you're on & no hanging around for hours on stand-by! They normally just ask for your passport at the check-in desk, but you can also check-in online & get boarding group A too! If your dates are flexible, you have, I would say a 90% chance of getting where you want to go. If you can go at the last minute, normally within 6 hours, the company release 50% of the seats that havn't been sold. Your staff travel allows you to have yourself & three named other people. These can be changed 6 times a year I think. It doesn't necessarily have to be family members either. We also have a deal with one of the hotel websites where we get 30% off all hotels, which includes worldwide hotels too. Obviously, we are at the mercy of how many passengers have booked on a flight, but I'd say 9 times out of 10 seats are available. I'm away quite alot on my staff travel for city breaks etc with my mates or my other half. It's a really good system.

Lauderdale

We did try to ask some of those questions. But they don't know much apparently themselves. They told us : It all depends on what will be agreed with our union.
Which means at this stage we know nothing really.

But thanks ... I will pointed them out to our union rep.
