cabin crews and your back.....
Hey guys,
Im a cabin crew currently working on 747s, and after working in Economy class my lower back hurts... Im 6"2. Id like to ask what you guys do to protect your back.... any advice ??? tnx in advance.

Sharky I too have similar problems. I am currently not spending any time in the gym, however I found when I was and particularly when I worked on my back muscles I had a lot less back pain at work. I also find crouching down when I want to get something out of the bottom of the cart works better than bending over - plus its better for your legs/glutes

Hmm, we weren't taught how to sit for take-off/landing, yet we were taught manual handling tecniques and if these are followed this should alleviate a lot of back pain. (such things as sinala mentioned, like bending at the knees and maintaining the 3 natural curves of your spine)
